Who is eligible to apply for GCGP grants?
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and meet specific program requirements. Eligibility varies by grant type (Individual, Business, Educational, Disaster Relief). Most programs are open to U.S. residents, with some international options available for educational grants.
How long does the application process take?
Applications are typically reviewed within 5-7 business days. You will receive an email notification regarding your application status. Disaster Relief applications are prioritized and may be processed within 48-72 hours.
Is there an application fee?
No. GCGP never charges application fees. All grant applications are completely free to submit. Be cautious of any organization claiming to represent GCGP that requests payment.
How much funding can I request?
Grant amounts vary by program and funding availability. Typical ranges are $1,000-$5,000 for Individual Funds, $5,000-$50,000 for Business Grants, and $1,000-$25,000 for Educational Support. Specific amounts are determined during the review process based on need and program criteria.
Do I need to repay the grant?
No. GCGP grants are non-repayable funds (not loans). However, recipients must use funds for the stated purpose and may be required to provide documentation of how funds were used.
Can I apply for multiple grants?
You may apply for one grant per funding cycle (calendar year). Multiple simultaneous applications will result in disqualification. However, you may apply for a different grant type in the next funding cycle.
What happens if my application is denied?
You will receive notification with general reasons for denial. You may reapply in the next funding cycle (typically the following calendar year). We recommend addressing the issues noted in the denial notification before reapplying.
How are grants disbursed?
Approved grants are typically disbursed via direct deposit (ACH transfer) within 10-14 business days of approval. Alternative methods include mailed check or wire transfer for international recipients.
What documents do I need to apply?
Basic applications require personal information and financial details. Additional documentation may be requested during review, such as proof of income, business plans, educational enrollment verification, or disaster damage assessments.
Is my personal information secure?

Can nonprofits and organizations apply?
Yes. Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits and small businesses can apply for Business Grants. Organizations must provide tax ID numbers and proof of registration during the application process.
